Yokohama Cruise Port

On the western coast of Tokyo Bay directly south of Tokyo, Yokohama is the second largest city in Japan and one of the cities most used to seeing foreigners.

While Yokohama, like most of Japan, is very safe, the Kotobuki-cho area is one of Japan’s largest slums with a large number of mostly male homeless people, and numerous yakuza-run businesses. While violent crime is still generally rare, sexual harassment tends to be more common that elsewhere, so women in particular might want to avoid visiting that area alone

The cruise port is only about a 15 – 20 minute walk from the centre of town

Local curreny is Yen

Please Note – when booking a private excursion that is not operated by the cruise line it is your responsibility to ensure that you are back in port in good time for the ‘All Aboard’ time. We suggest allowing at least 1 hour after your ships arrival in port to allow for immigration clearances and plan to be back in port at least 1 hour before ‘All Aboard’ time to allow for any traffic issues etc on your return journey.
